Looking where the Web have reached now, it’s hard to believe that, it just entered the twenties! In the history of entire human race, we won’t find anything that had grown as much as the web did, in such a short span of time. Evolution was exponential. And the reason is nothing but, global participation. Every single guy, who was capable of contributing, DID, and we reached where we are now.
We’ve traveled a lot from, where static pages, scientific information & some GIF animations were all you could get from the internet. This shift was then termed as Web2.0. This refers not only to improved programming and designing paradigms but also, to the change in attitude towards the web. Earlier, the web was just a tool or hobby but, now, it’s the way life is to be lived.
We can’t be wrong in saying “we’re yet to see a bigger & better web”, given that we work towards it. Some feel that the web is saturated and there is no space for anything new; that every possible web app has been built and that people have become tired of social networking. Not really. There is always space for things.

Now that the web, through its exponential growth and evolution, have developed into a stellar, rock-solid platform, it’s the time for us to start working, based on this platform. i.e. the technical aspects have been reached a near-perfect state (at least, as of now) and now it’s the time to impart human qualities and attribution to the web, and use the web to cause great changes and impacts.
If something could reach in 20 years, where others took thousands, think of the immense potential that is left for us to use it sensibly. Web needs enlightened and sensible people, like us, to use its power and make the world a better place to live in. And this needs open discussions and strong conversations.
So, it’s time we pause talking about web and start talking about using the web for the good of the world. I’m sorry that I can’t put some examples forward at this point of time. But, we might come up with some great ones, once we start talking. We need to.
