If you are a blogger, you might’ve heard about many traffic generation programmes. I tried EntreCard two days back and dropped it. Credits,drops,advertisers; I was lost. I couldn’t absorb the whole thing.
Today, I came across another one that promises increased traffic with the tried-and-tested method of link-exchange. BlogUpp!
The service needs no registration. Just provide your blog URL and you’re given your code. There’s nothing wrong in trying out anything as long as it doesn’t harm. So, I decided to give it a try. You can find the widget in my sidebar.
Okai, What Is It ?
You put up a widget on your blog that displays links to two another blogs using BlogUpp!. For every 10 readers on your blog, your blog is shown to 9 readers on other blogs; i.e. a de facto exchange ratio of 10:9
How It Works ?
- BlogUpp! reads the RSS Feed of your blog to categorize your blog automatically and show up links to appropriate blogs/sites
- A thumbnail of your blog will be shown in the other blogs, which shows your latest post on roll-over, and on clicking, takes the reader to your blog.
Why Use It ?
- More readers, more visibility. The exchange ratio is very good, 10:9. That means, if your blog receives 1000 readers, your blog is shown to another 900 people. Thus, the no: of potential visitors = 1000+900 = 1900. (Nearly double).
- Opens the links in new windows/tabs so that you doesn’t lose your interested readers.
- Non-Obtrusive, clean, simple widget that doesn’t disturb your blog design.
I would recommend giving it a try.
