The notion that individual computers linked electronically
could form the basis of computer mediated social interaction and
networking was suggested early on

Everyone of us are familiar to those so-called Web 2.0 social networking sites that keeps you connected
with your friends and helps you make new friends too. The debates on security, privacy and identify theft on
social networking sites are still the hot topics on Discussion Boards. Leave those; we are going to talk about a funny side of them.
As i stated in one of my previous posts, “Technology, Internet & Generations”, the present teenagers are the
first receptors of all the new wow-technologies. Social Networking Sites came into the mainstream in the recent past, around 2005.
Consider this situation: The Average age of the users of those sites are below 25. Lets take it as 22.
Now, consider a man of age 22 (in 2005) registered in 2005. Now he must be 25 years old.
What i am saying is that, within next 4-5 years we’ll see our kids in our ‘buddy lists’.. ![]()
Way Kewl, isn’t it.
The Situations like Dad Being the administrator and son a moderator, Daughter banning Dad from her community, reporting Parent’s/kids’ profile as bogus etc. are soon to be witnessed.
What do you think? (I really expect some comments on this.)
